Trans Somatics
Regenerating Safety
Personal and relational somatic skills to empower us to stay connected to ourselves and each other in these unprecedented times.
As our material safety becomes more and more precarious as trans people, it’s easy to loose a sense of power and agency. This course will support us to regenerate a sense of safety and agency from the body-up, and from connection with each other.
We keep us safe.
4 weeks of practice
Tuesdays
11am-1pm EST // 8-11am PST
on Zoom
March 31- April 21
We will practice to embody a deeper sense of agency, boundary, and allyship. Trauma and oppression steal away our sense of safety, and thus our sense of power. Somatics allows us to regenerate an embodied sense of safety in order to reconnect to our power.
Sessions will revolve around these themes, while being responsive to the group and what is most needed. My hope is for everyone to walk away feeling more empowered, connected, and aligned with a wider vision of what’s possible.

She has a background in environmental justice and direct action and currently works in a support role as a politicized coach and facilitator. She is also an artist, writer, and musician exploring the edges of embodiment, gender, and possibility.
FAQs
Is this a therapy group?
Somatics is known for its effectiveness at healing trauma, but that is not a focus of this course. Though there will be therapeutic value in attending these classes, it is not a therapy group and is not an adequate substitute for therapy. The focus is on cultivating new skills and capacities through somatic awareness and practice.
How much does it cost?
I’m offer this course at a sliding scale of $250-450. There is limited availability for the lower end of the scale, so please only choose that option if you are unable to afford the true cost of $350. Groups are kept small on purpose so that connection is possible and each participant gets more personalized attention.
Will sessions be recorded?
Session will not be recorded. It is necessary to attend live so that we can build connection with each other. There is a bit of teaching and demo, but most of the session will live embodiment practices in pairs or together as a group. So for the sake of privacy and to ensure a sense of safety, sessions are not recorded. If you need to miss a session, please let me know ahead of time so we can make arrangements.
